Long term Diet

Once you have completed the early phases of your diet – liquids, sometimes puree and soft diet then it is time to get back onto normal foods. Your bariatric provider will inform you how long this should take but it isn’t a race. Take it slowly, if a food causes you problems then avoid it for a bit then try it again in the future. In the long-term textured food will tend to be better for you – they tend to be lower in calories, more filling and you can manage smaller portions of them
