Hi Carly it does take a bit of getting used to if you normally have a drink when eating. It should get easier as you get used to it. Chew the food really well so it’s a good consistency when you swallow it. If something actually feels like it is properly sticking then occasionally a tiny sip of fluid would be ok but it’s not something you should do on a normal basis – the fluid can help push the food through the stomach too quickly and cause pain or discomfort and also there isn’t much room in the stomach for food and fluids xx
