Here is a little article written by  by Mamuna Arshad at The Busy Girl’s Guide to Aesthetics

Do not let the Pandemic stall all your hard work…During the last 6 months of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have all felt unsettled. Whilst the uncertainty may continue there are activities that we can do to help maintain our weight loss goals.

Weight Loss is certainly difficult enough without trying to do it on your own and amidst a global pandemic. However, countless people turn to their support network to share their challenges and to assist each other through the toughest of days. Having friends or family to share your fitness-related goals and frustrations helps keep you motivated and encourages you to continue your success on your weight-loss journey.

Whether that is opting to go for a walk or merely pottering about in the garden, these simple steps can work wonders for our physical health and well-being.

Be Active -Go for a walk or run, cycle, take an interactive yoga class online, do some gardening or dance your way through your stresses. Exercising makes you feel good. Most importantly, discover a physical activity that you enjoy; one that suits your level of fitness.

Set daily goals - to give you a sense of purpose and a sense of achievement.

Get Online– This is a great way to feel like you are part of a wider community. Signing up to virtual classes is an excellent way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It is all out there, from experts on portion control to participating in a yoga class to beauty hacks etc. The Net can certainly make you feel like you are part of an exclusive network.

Take on a different project, set a challenge you will enjoy. Learning new things will make you more confident, as well as being fun to do. Do not be afraid to try something new, rediscover an old hobby or sign up for a course.

Community Support–Meeting daily/weekly/monthly on Zoom with a facilitated support group boosts success even after you have reached your goal. While support groups involve an additional commitment, they can also lead to important and life-long friendships as well as helping you maintain a healthier lifestyle and mindset.

Online Support- Healthy Eating and weight-loss communities are widespread on the world wide web. In fact, assisted internet weight-loss support groups like BandBoozled, have shown to be just as successful bringing a community together.

I am, I can… Support- Of course, for some this is not for everyone. Some Weight-loss patients are highly motivated and are happy to continue to go from strength to strength.

Do Not forget to:

SMILE and HAVE A LAUGH - Believe it or not, there is some truth to the phrase 'laughter is the best medicine'. Laughter is a great remedy for stress as it triggers healthy changes in our bodies.
